The International Meeting AICARR, held in Milan on March 1 and 2, 2006 represents an extremely important appointment for those operating in the HVAC&R sector. Thermocold participated not only as partner of the Industrial Association AICARR, also presenting a report on the subject of “the frontier of energy efficiency: the behaviour of condensated air refrigeration units at partial loads”, by engineer Michele Vio.

The report concerns the improvement of energy efficiency, the primary objective for all the manufacturers of refrigeration units, and explains how two distinct ways are being created according to the compressors and coolants used. Indeed some manufacturers are concentrating on screw compressors and oil-free turbocompressors equipped with R134a as coolant, whereas others are banking on the solution with twin scrolls and R410A. The report thus compares the two solutions with particular attention for the behaviour at partial loads.
