The efficient answer to the complex air conditioning needs of the most modern data center all over the year
Milan, RFI center: the new units Heva Free-Cooling Thermocold were chosen for the new office buildings and data centers dedicated to the railway traffic monitoring system and new railway lines control for high-speed trains. The plant, able to develop a total cooling capacity of 3000 kW, is equipped with three HEVA FC 21000 VC B1 units with built-in hydronic group and No Glycol special configuration, supplying air handling units, close control chilled water units and fan coil units for the offices air conditioning. For this specific application one more unit in addition to the main two was provided as a backup to ensure continuous operation even in case of high thermal loads conditions.
Free-Cooling units are the ideal solution for all those commercial and industrial applications interested by a continuous cooling demand even during the winter season or when the inlet fluid temperature is higher than the outdoor air temperature, partializing the compressors or even turnig them off in the most favorable conditions.
The No Glycol configuration is equipped with a glycol-water intercooler necessary to separate the evaporator from the free-cooling coil avoiding the use of glycol in the plant and therefore limiting it only to the intermediate circuit. Thermocold Free Cooling units are the best solution for those who want to pursue concrete energy savings goals (EER 54 with 100% free cooling), almost reducing to zero the costs for air conditioning.
