. In this project, the client decided to replace an obsolete HVAC system serving a big Warehouse located in South Africa, switching to a system with a 10% higher total cooling capacity. The client took this as an opportunity to expand the system capacity positively affects the system reliability generating a big energy saving. This is possible because the system operation is optimized as the chiller runs for shorter durations and has to work less to achieve and maintain the desired temperatures thereby increasing its lifetime of the unit and decreasing operating costs. The system made by 2 AWA XEA chillers provide a total cooling capacity of 1000 kW guarantees a big energy saving compared to the old air conditioning system and it’s ready to provide high quality comfort cooling during hot seasons.
