mbda1A partnership focused on innovation and research in energy efficiency with the latest generation of multi-functional full inverter units ISA4-EA.

Thanks to the precious and valuable collaboration between Thermocold and one of the most prestigious plant engineering Italian company, the Fatiga Appalti in Rome, an innovative multi-functional full-inverter system was provided for one of the most important installation of the last years, not only in Italy but all over the Europe, the MBDA center of Rome.

For the comfort of the new buildings of the MBDA Italia Spa head office in Rome, one of the three member companies of the Matra BAE Dynamics Alenia - MBDA, the biggest European consortium for advanced HI TECH technologies, the Thermocold’s Multitube System units were chosen, innovative multi-functional FULL INVERTER units for four-pipe associated system.

N.5 Thermocold ISA4 - EA units were installed to provide heating and cooling for the two new buildings dedicated to the research and development activity of the center. The plant is composed by multi-functional units for 4-pipe systems with super low noise configuration and full inverter design concept, supplying a total cooling capacity of 3700 kW and a heating capacity about 4120 kW.

AiCARR Journal: Company experience

aicarr journal16AiCARR Journal reports the experience of Thermocold, the first company on the HVAC market using the double cycle technology applied to multifunctional systems, through a technical article which analyzes the innovative DUO technology and reports the data collected by monitoring the performances of an existing installation.
 
The real working data collected of the DUO show how the unit is able to keep the real heating capacity, in winter space heating and hot sanitary water production, constant with any outdoor temperature.
 
The analysis made shows clearly how the use of multifunctional cascade cycle units with different refrigerants allows to overcome the limits of monocycle heat pumps, making the technology competitive and reliable compared to gas fired systems, even at colder climates and for hot water production at very high temperature.

Protagonist of the meeting, the new frontier of the multifunctional cascade cycle units and transcritical cycle units for summer air conditioning and winter space heating and for hot sanitary water production.
